Hi all,
My washing machine is buzzing which I thought the motor was f&&*Ed but thought to test the capacitor by giving the motor a push start.

Starts just fine after which confirms it for me.

Anyone know any sites for spare parts?
Part number is 11.126/856-324
Not sure if this is the start capacitor or just a way to get the power factor down?

Alternatively can I use a number of capacitors to get it working?

Says 0.47uf + 0.022uf
+2x1mH +680k
In theory I know what these are but but don't work on appliances. Apprentice electrician level 3

Thanks in advance

Or is it both a start capacitor and a noise suppressor? There's a set of 2 connectors; L N and another which is a molded plug which makes me think that the L N is the capacitor and the molded plug the suppressor?

At a guess, I'd say there is another capacitor. If you google that part number you get a mains filter which would explain the inductors.

That said, there may not be a capacitor at all on the motor depending on age. I'm pretty certain my Bosch washing machine uses some advanced drive as you can hear it whine at the start of the program when I think it's checking the weight in the drum.

But if that's the only cap, those units seem to be less than £20, might be worth a punt.

It shows as a noise suppression capacitor on the German ebay site, I have given up trying to repair my domestic appliances as they always seem to self destruct shortly after I have 'fixed' them. They do seem to make good money stripped as parts on ebay though (especially dishwashers!)

If it is capacitor start it is highly unlikely you spun it fast enough to start it without the assistance of the capacitor.

Been to a local application repair shop and turns out it is just a noise suppressor. They haven't been capacitor start for years haha
He's thinking it's the carbon brushes.

And we don't have the money for a new washing machine so I thought 10-20 for a capacitor wouldn't be a bad idea. Brushes are even better? What £10?
Had a look underneath. Can't see a conventional capacitor so might give the Brushes a quick look. It's also curiosity now :)

Just a word of warning... I changed the brushes on a Zanussi machine once, worked liked a charm until part of the speed sensor (which I had to remove to do the job) came loose and it lost all sense of speed... wash cycle was running at spin speed, so be warned if there's anything like that screwed to the shaft that you need to remove... Loctite it when you re-assemble :)

Put everything back. Got it haha

Buuut worst case I've disassembled it ready for eBay haha
