Hi

I have this switch in my kitchen which use to be for water heater. It now powers upto fcu for boiler.

Can I change this switch to a socket in kitchen?

If it's the FCU for the boiler, you can't really change it. If it's in addition to the FCU, you possibly can depending on the type of circuit.

I'd ask an electrician to pop in and have a quick look.

It's on the ring main in kitchen but the switch powers the fcu for boiler. So if you turn switch off in kitchen the boiler turns off completely

shouldn't be a problem then. brown to red and blue to bits,:93:

If the switch is part of the kitchen socket ring then it is probably possible to change it to a socket, so long as you do not affect the operation of the boiler, such as if the boiler FCU is inaccessible.
