Discuss What system and where's the fuse?! in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Looks like tncs judging by the link coming from the meter to the met.

Is this a lone dwelling or is it communial like a flat etc

Balls... trying to send from mobile.
Basically tails appear behind meter board along with a small earth lead, go to a henley, where they split for the economy 7, then both sets to a modern meter...

Is the wall they emanate from an adjoining wall with another house ?
I have seen it before where a single phase head is split into 2 fuses mounted on the head, with a set of tails bobbing through to next door from one fuse, and the house the head is in, supplied from the other fuse.

well the tails go somewhere lol and there also has to be a main fuse somewhere at the end or beginning whichever way you look at it so time to investigate as andy says is it a oartty wall to adjoining neighbour or is there a suppliers meter box outside

It's a flat but the wall backs on to an empty storage cupboard in their kitchen.

That link doesn't actually go from met to the meter. Looks like it in the picture but it actually bends round and goes into the nether behind the board.

Not spoken with DNO yet.

Ze is 0.17

you on the site and your business tracing them. have a look whats on another side of that wall. or use wire detector to trace them if they go buried in the wall...

Right, update time... now in pub!

Someone had installed the meter board on top of the incoming cable!

Looks like TN-S but the main earth is connected to a terminal in the conduit box which the incomming cable arrives in.

Not sure now how reliable the Ze is I wasn't able to disconnect from the conduit which runs throughout the block.
There's a cupboard in the communal area so might have to get it unlocked for my next visit
