hello
after some advice please,
i have re wired my kitchen, i have run a 6mm cable from the cu on a 40 breaker, which is where i intended to isolate it.
but on purchasing the hob oven and hood, i now know these are all separate feeds,

hob 6kw and oven 2.1kw

to solve all my issues i now intend to use a 45 amp dp with plug for the hood with 3amp plug.
is it ok for the hob and oven to go into the same 45 amp dp.
like this

i have doubt as i am aware you can buy a dual 45dp which has separate entries for the hob and oven but it has no plug socket on it for the hood. like this
45 Amp Dual Appliance / Cooker Outlet Plate - https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/AA45DCOP.html

thanks in advance

Hi - first question would be is 40A breaker the right size? Sorry to say, but I think you need on-site help with this. How will you test and certify your new circuit?

i am a spark and my boss will be testing and certifying the work.
i have just never wired in a hob oven and hood in the same location
before.

when i originally said 40 mcb i had done math previously on different units on working out the specific calculation i have calculated its 32A mcb.

main oven 2.1 kW
four hotplates total 6 kW
The cooker control unit includes a 13 A socket outlet.

The total cooker load is 2.1 + 6.0 + (4 x 1.5) kW = 8.1 kW

Total current

8100 A
230
= 35.2A

diversity

10a + 11.1 a= 21.1a
+ 5a socket outlet = 26.1a

=32a mcb

i would appreciate if you could answer the original question.
thanks

why do people come on this forum and ask questions ,having looked at his profile .nowt showed that he his a spark .

Because that's what the forums are for.

@JAMES SLOAN , I've just deleted the new thread you started about this. Please don't post duplicate threads as it becomes confusing and somewhat irritating for people who are trying to help.

Hi - perhaps just confirm your installation method against Table 4D5 as sometimes 6mm and 40A don't work. Apologies if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs :) .

Not sure I understand the question, are you proposing plugging in the hood and terminating the hob and oven in the same terminal in the 45a dp isolator?

I think he's planning on using one of the 45A dual cooker outlet plates, and plugging the hood in.

hi thanks for responses
baddegg
yes that is correct,
if viable i would terminate oven and hob into 45a dp socket outlet,
then the hood into the socket outlet,
the radial for the kitchen is complete, and i only have a 6mm cable for the cooker hob and hood.
