Work Gloves

As above, Can anyone recommend a decent set of work gloves?
I suffer from bad dermatitis and Excema and just need some decent gloves to protect my hands a bit.
No rubber or latex though as they make it worse.

Dewalts fingerless gloves are pretty decent, I find E45 best for Excema although it stings like a bitch if you leave it too late :|

I got dewalt gloves the ones with thumb, index and middle fingers tips missing. Not bad, protect hands pretty well but after 6weeks of site work they're ruined and that's after a few stitching repairs. They're OK if you don't mind shelling out £12 every 6weeks or so

ive got a set somewhere, after the snickers they feel like paper so i dont like wearing them.

ive stritched them up with strands of tri-rated when we had nothing to do (strands of tri-rated 1.5 is perfect)

Emollient on paws then unpowdered vinyl then whatever gloves you fancy.

This works for someone I know with similar problems.

They do go through a lot of vinyl gloves though.

I use Stanley framers gloves (missing thumb and 2 fingers) which were fairly cheap in screwfix. They have lasted well....about a year old now. I swear by O'keeffe's working hand cream a couple of times a day and something girly that smells nice when I go home after work.

Agree with CAB, the stanley ones are pukka. I use the ones missing all fingers and the ones missing index middle and thumb and I find them more comfortable then the rubber ones.

try ironclad.. do a good range depending on what kind your after. can pick them up on ebay pretty cheap

I recently tried a pair of gloves, as I'm not in the trade now, got very very nice soft hands now not like a rhinos. They came from a builders merchants, ideal to keep your hands clean and protected. They are throw away really, about £15 for 10 pairs. After a while wearing them, you don't know you got them on.

you still cut your hands wearing gloves the only difference is it takes longer to clean and tape wound up
