Hi, KBR, Dyncorp and flour are looking for sparks at the mo in afghan, but be warned... the reason they are looking is that they are paying horrendous money, dyncorp are wanting sparks for 40 grand, 13 hour days 7 days a week, go home every 4 months. KBR is better conditions but still bad money. u will need to be JIB approved or at least have 2391, but im afraid the only people getting good money with all the firms in afghan have been there a while.........

hmmm thinking more middle east, siberia, if you pay peanuts, you know what you get :) thanks, i have 1&2 17th & 2391

the sad thing is at the mo the company's know if you pay peanuts u get desperate sparks with a mortgage to pay...... good luck with the hunting, the likes of dubai, quatar etc are mainly peanuts too, they do the same as us, ex-pat to test, run sites, design etc and all Indian workforce.

the only way to get in with any company's out here is through the respective company's HR dept. companys to Google are - KBR (leatherhead UK), G3 (poole Dorset), Marshalls, IAP (Hv Work), Lakesure Engineering, CADG, Thales, Dyncorp (USA) Fluor (USA). as said before, money with all these company's is 30 -40% lower than even a year ago but they still have hundreds of CV's a day from just sparks. its just as hard to get in as oil, a few guys i know have taken a lower paid job just to get in country cos once you are here work is a lot easier to find....
