Dear All,

I'm apprentice, I'm investing in some tools and wondered what peopls thoughts were on the best work bench to buy for build quality and usefulness...

if you mean a portable one, the stanley folding workbench is brilliant. also the b&d workmate.
 
It depends what type of work you're doing. I bought a Triton SuperJaws a year or so ago. Not really a workbench, more like a vice on three legs, so stable on any surface. I made up a base for my mitre saw and another plain worktop which are just clamped in the vice. Heavy, but better than a workmate for some jobs. There are some videos of it in use on YouTube.
