I was in south east asia and met a fellow working in Iraq.
I ended up losing my phone and his contact info.
He was working 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off.
Does anyone know the name of an electrical contractor working there.
I want to apply.

Ali Ba Ba and the 5 wws, seriously mate could you not approach the people that employed you? they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Don't understand why people would want to work out there. Brutal people who wouldn't think twice at slaughtering a westerner and if your lucky enough you get it filmed.. Look at that G4S fella who almost got his --- handed to him recently for "disrespecting" Allah or whatever. Go to australia mate where you will earn at least the same if not better money and not have to worry about getting kidnapped, thrown onto the back of camel and then getting used for randsome which our government won't pay !! We know what happens after that

From what can understand, all the contract service companies are either pulling out or curtailing operations significantly within both Iraq and Afghanistan. Besides you are better off where you are, frankly i'm surprised you managed to get an electricians contract in Southeast Asia, or are/were you local hire?
