I see TRS twin, and VIR in conduit under floors with regularity round here. Some of it even in service :anguished:

Lead sheath is a bit rarer though.

The less common aspect of that is the copper CPC. More often the lead sheath was the CPC, it was clamped under a 'bonding bar' at each JB to make the system continuous, and tailed to any fitting that needed it. But for extra money you could order the cable with a copper CPC in too.

I have a few junction boxes for lead twin here, unfortunately most are damaged badly from when the old cables were ripped out, not by me I might add! The round box is also stamped Callender. These boxes came from 4 different buildings and the Henley box was wired with lead sheathed singles IIRC. And last photo is some boxes from a similar time.

I had to repair a switch in my Aunts house in Parsons Green the other day, shame I didn't take a photo but the double switch was held in place by two screws in to the wooden back box packed out with some paper, luckily one switch wasn't used so I just swapped the cables over.

I still have this in my coal bunker under the house which I have never bothered to remove,
