I've just bought a Dyson tower fan for a meeting room, and if it is easy to remove I know someone will come in and nab it for another part of the building

A quick googlesearch reveals this, or you could get a socket put in a lockable cupboard or plug it into a floorbox and put a filing cabinet over the edge, but as others say you may need to disconnect it in an emergency.
You could fit a non-standard plug and socket so it can't be plugged in anywhere else, or my favourite options are to lock the meeting room when it's not being used and/or threaten people with disciplinary action if they misappropriate the fancy fan. Maybe tell them there's CCTV in the room. Maybe even fit a dummy CCTV camera.

or fit a dummy fan and cctv to watch the look on their faces when they try and get it working. :troll:
