How many did this affect ?There's a few people missing, where's Trev? I like him, I'm not too bothered about some of the banned members as they were mainly rude and aggressive.

It wasn't Dan, it was me and it was moved because it's not an electrical question thread and didn't belong in the General Electrical forum.Dan, can I ask why this has been moved please?

Who told you that? He didn't get banned, his account is open and active if he chooses to use it.He got banned along with a lot of the other knowledgeable members not very long ago
Yes, they have had an right old shake up round here. All the knowledgable guys gone.!!Anyone else had PM's from Dan or noticed the bumps on really really old threads? Is this places doomed?
In a nutshell the last part of your statement is correct, anyone who can't post without ripping someone to pieces is not welcome. It was a joint staff decision to outlaw to outlaw abrasive posting behaviour and make the forum manageable again, the forum owner had nothing to do with it.The forum generates more revenue from ad clicks by having more new members joining up and more five week wonders scrolling through endless threads. Get rid of the experienced guys providing good advice in a few threads and get more threads going where the blind can openly lead the blind without fear of getting ripped to pieces
There are no ads for any member who's in the Arms or above. The only people who see ads are guests and standard members.and it opens up more space for ads, thus more revenue.
It's just a business decision.
