When you have it - Synalar gets rid of it, see your doctor it's prescription only I think. (It's cortisone based)

Then try and prevent it because it does come back.

betnovate, a steroid, prescription only.

As a sufferer,as a teenager, the only long term answer is to remove the aggravating cause. In my case, one problem revealed another...

I was working on the farm, shoveling potatoes into a riddler, which involved ----ing the rotten ones to one side. Contact with the ooze from these, caused quite bad dermatitis.

The method used to overcome this, was to wear latex gloves, and the problem got better - then worse...resulting in finding the second of my strange allergic reactions,to latex (Silver, being the other!)

So,with good skin care, and Nitrile gloves,i have been lucky enough to avoid problems since.

A friend of mine, another engineer, had to come off the tools, and go into sales, due to a prolonged ignorance,of what was eventually diagnosed as dermatitis.
