I guess a lot of you guys do this already
But a tip worth considering is to take several photographs on completion of work. This can have several benefits it can confirm the state of the installation when you left. To prove any damage was caused after you left site. It can also show that when you pulled in those cables there was little or no loft insulation. I guess you can find lots of other uses for the photographs. Such as one of the finished CU (with the cover off) to show if any further circuits have been added.
This is virtually free and you can archive thousands on an external hard drive for future use.
Dose anyone do this if not it may be a good time to start.

I'd say the reason you would give to the client would be "It's for a portfolio of my work"
The photo's would not have to be referenced to an address, a date and time stamp which you could reference to a cert would probably put youin the clear
