How are we all connecting up our bollards armoured cable?

Inspired by a recent video from the 'plumber'.

How are we all connecting up our bollards? I've seen several methods in the past including not earthing the steel wires to using a wiska box with glands on like the plumber does.

What do you all think is the best way?

A contractor i used to do some work for insisted on galv Y boxes

All depends on the space inside the bollard. Some I've done recently have flange inside that the glands go on to.

You put isolation inside each bollard? Never seen that done before, interesting

It's normal for streetlights and other street furniture such as illuminated bollards to include a fused cutout. This allows a much larger circuit to be used to feed them and for a means of isolation for working on the individual lights without turning a whole street, carpark etc off.

Never seen a streetlight without a fuse and never seen a bollard with one. Learning all the time!

I rarely do them, but have used galv Y boxs in the past

The truthful answer is probably what ever I have to hand , be it a wiska box or a conduit box or even an old single galv back box. Basically anything that you can gland to,
