My brother has his own handyman business.

The other day he phoned me up to say could i go round to his customers house to sort out an electrical problem. No problem i thought until i got there and he tells me the electric shower was faulty so he fitted a new one and now the fuse keeps blowing!

When i looked at it i realized he had changed a Mira pumped shower that ran off a 3 Amp switched spur for a Mira 9.5 Kw!!! He had connected the 0.75mm flex into the 9.5Kw shower and he wondered why the fuse kept blowing.

I sorted it all out for him eventually and told him never to touch anything electrical again or he was likely to kill someone!!

Some people haven't got a clue. Obviously the 3A fuse should have been uprated. Daz
