SOLUTION TO EVERYONE THAT CAN NOT SAVE A PDF!!!!!!

The is a freeware program called cutePDF, I have used it in the past, and have just tried it.

Here is the link
CutePDF - Convert to PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily.

Download and install where I have highlighted below.

Untick the toolbar option when it wants you to install.
After it is installed it says it needs to download and install another program that works with it, this is correct and you must do it.

When all done and installed, open the PDF as before ignore the you can not save message and fill out the form, go to FILE >> SAVE AS >>> CutePDF and then print, this should bring up a pop up box of where you want to save it, then voila!! It is done!

Mark just to add that although your files say that you can only print a copy instead of saving there is a way to do it with Mypdfconvertor
this little freeware acts like a virtual printer lets you save as a pdf but at the same time your documents think it printing it.

hi Mark

is there any way that you can adjust it to drag and paste info into multiple boxes at the same time to save time filling in repetitive details like on test sheets etc

thanks and good work!

I have NO IDEA if that can be done, it is a basic PDF document to me.

I could probably add a drop down box in the Ins Resistance tests as there is a bit of room, but not much else.

If you want to 'save' the pdf's so that they can't be edited when emailed to customer, then add this in - it bascially installs as a printer, so you can now print anything to a pdf , inculding an existing pdf, vopila, a now 'fixed' document, with the form filled in.

I save them with the certificate number in the file name

That's Version 4 Lite of PDF Xchange Viewer- it works as a printer deiver so just appears as any other printer does, other versions tie you in to trialling / buying the pro version. So check out the main site, make sure you use the above link though to get version 4 lite.
