Hi,
I am looking at joining the NIC domestic installer scheme (dont agree after 26yrs on the tools that i should have to be in any scheme other than JIB but hey ho) purely because I am going self employed again and will be doing domestic works and NIC because they are known better by customers than Napit etc.
However, i will also be doing some Periodic Inspection reports at some stage. i Know the NIC wont issue me with PIR pads, so surely i can just issue my own PIR's and that would be none of the NIC's business eh? By the way I do't want to go NIC Approved- did that 6 years ago and was a pain having 5 jobs assesed and nearly 900 quid. I only did it to keep a repeat client happy.
Any one else doing their own PIR's while being a NIC DI?
