you couldnt put a 100ma RCD into the main board as all the other circuits would be protected by 100 ma when they should be 30mawould you not just put a 100mA rcd in? or do we need to know more info like har foar away the shed will be what it will be supplying etc?.

No it is not better to feed the garage from the main DB's rcd in most cases. Its just this time the fella has no other option. In an ideal world it would come from its own rcd or be an armoured and not need an rcd at supply enddon't know just trying to understand tbh, I thought if you have a outbuilding supply like that you are supposed to put in a 100mA rcd because of discrimination.
So its better to have the shed protected by the main DB's RCD instead of instaling an rcd for said shed?.
