Discuss Rcd protection for underfloor in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net
Ok, in a bathroom I was aware that a 30 mA RCD should be used, but was not sure If this applied to the underfloor heating, what if it was in a living room, would the rating of the RCD be different.
If it was in a living room, there would not be any requirement for RCD protection.Ok, in a bathroom I was aware that a 30 mA RCD should be used, but was not sure If this applied to the underfloor heating, what if it was in a living room, would the rating of the RCD be different.
30mA.....................all circuits in a bathroom must have 30mA protection Reg 701.411.3.3
If it was in a living room, there would not be any requirement for RCD protection.
As such the rating would be up to you.
