Every Spark and plumber in Ireland uses these.on the subject of screws. i just ordered some "robertson"square pan heads 8s x 1 1/2 inch, just to upset future young sparkys after i'm dead and buried.
No, they still need wall plugs, but when you place a screw on the end of your screwdriver, you can literally do a somersault with it and it won't fall off.are they like wall-dogs? or do they need plugs?
I've only ever used torx on white goods but I'd definitely say they're better.Just asking, cos when my local Homebase closed I bought loads of torx security bolts for pennies, and have used them on garage doors and outhouses, for fixing bolts and hasps, and they come with the driver bit...so far all seems good.
And have done for at least the last 20 years.Every Spark and plumber in Ireland uses these.
They really are wonderful compared to pozi drive.
Is there anything worse than torx? Are they better than torx?

One day, an inmate from the loony bin escapes and wanders into the local town.
Passing by the launderette, he sees 3 women doing their weekly wash.
Having been celibate for a few years,in the bin, he runs in and has it off with all 3 of them.
He then runs off..
Next day, the local newspaper carries the headline:
NUT SCREWS WASHERS AND BOLTS.
....... "robertson"square pan heads 8s x 1 1/2 inch......
I've seen them in Canada .. but not sure about USA ?Every Spark and plumber in Ireland uses these.
