Trying to find a 6pin connector.

Hey guys!
First of all I'm really really sorry that I’m asking this question here, as Iam pretty sure that I’m in the wrong section of the forum or, even on a wrongforum altogether.
But it is worth the shot as I am running in circles already.
By the end of this post you would have had figured that I am completlyoblivious in the field, so please don't be too harsh

I have a 200 W mod that I use to vape on and it has broken down on me, When Iopened it up I have noticed the aforementioned pin in a pretty bad shapeletting me to conclude that this wire is the cause of it not working.
The picture of it is going to be down below.
The question is: does it have a specific name so I can google it or something?Or do you guys know any elec. shops I can find in or around London to askaround for this piece?
Any help would be much much much apritiated.

Hi sergey and welcome to the forum..

TBH with you the brown core seems to have over-heated along its length suggesting a fault or even poor design, I would be thinking about getting a new one or taking it in for repair to a specialist who can identify the cause of this overheated cable.. did you buy this from a recognised well established vendor or off the internet/market place?

Hey darkwood.
It was a licensed device bought dirrectly from the manufacturer.
The cause of this mess is also known.
I haven't switched the device off and 've put it in to a tight poket, things got really hot really fast

I have been around some repair shops but no one seems to have anything like that

I have also contacted the manufacturer yet still waiting for a responce...for quit some time now.

seen that connection on a few devices, (Little cable used for bridging from one PCB to another with Power) am a bit woried whey its melted so tho, i would think it is spose to handle 5v to 12v MAX.. ill look around see if i got one

sadly only found a 7 way with the other side soilder on the board,.. it was in a PVR/DVD sort of device

I would Email the manufacturer again but this time mention bringing in Tranding Standards as you consider this a potential hazard which could have left you with burns or even caught fire also mention you are going to the media too due to the lack of response etc ....(you'll be surprised how quick things move when you play hard ball). I would deffinately not try to repair it regardless of your understanding to why it occured, no device compliant for sale in the UK should fail like this and present such a hazard IMHO and it maybe yours is a one off but its also possible this is a design flaw that could end up with a recall due to the severity of the issue.

Well now that you mentioned it, I have ran through the manual of the device and it says that it's equipt with temp control, automatic cut off due to voltage drop and etc. So the fact that it happened in the first place is a bit odd.
It is a pitty though, 100 quid to the bin is a bit of a heartbreak

If the device has failed and is even out of warranty you may still be able to get a replacement using the 1979 customer rights act although you will need to get an independant report to show the device has failed and not through mis-use. If this is a product flaw your chasing it up could save someones life here as this has the potential to catch fire which could burn someones house down, your product may have actually operated its over-temp cutout hence it has stopped working and your seeing the point of damage, this would mean simply replacing the connector may not fix the problem.
