Is there an aerial amp on the lighting cct, could be faulty, noise on lighting cct from flo's, could be poor sig on digital, the slight noise could make it drop out...
If youre that worried, chock all the ring and take some measurements, as long as it works out less than max, theres not a problem ...

its a real pain metal consumer in a domestic situation :-( who makes this stuff up... its numpty connections that give the problems, why dont they address that....

the pfc is my problem, ohms law would make the pfc work out around 5.7Ka (using 0.04 as your resistance) (with all paths in place)

if its notifiable work, you'll have to be with a competant person scheme, if your just changing accessories like for like then not, consumer is notifiable...
theyre also quite bulky and require a deaper box 35mm, fitted a few, no problems yet, i was a little concerned about the cooling of the dc supply, like said above im sure the capacitors wont last long :-0 personally prefer a mains adapter....
