    Ah, so its basically a hole hawk? I keep mine in a Festool box - either a size 4 or 5, I think. Plenty of space for drill bits and the like.

    You need to establish the property has a reliable and safe means of earthing. Can you visually trace the earth? What size is the main earth at CU? Is Irish EICR coding different to mainland uk?

    This year I saw a whole brewery wired in. Done by the owner. He asked me to sign it off for him as the insurers were asking for certification. Was very miffed when I said he'd never get me drunk enough to falsely sign a certificate! Also asked me how he could fiddle his meter!

    I charge mileage on top of my hourly/day rate. I have to being in the Highlands. Local for me could easily be a round trip of 300+ miles! I rarely charge an hourly rate due to the distances involved. Personally I think most electricians charge way too little when you look at other professions...
