Sparky's Tools- Everything under one roof- possible?

I would never buy tools at CEF. The place is far too expensive, and anywhere where I have to haggle to avoid getting ripped off is not getting my trade. Screwfix is the best place I can think of.

    Wiring a ceiling rose

I disagree. He wired it wrong to begin with. The fuse or MCB blew. He then went away and read up on how to refit. Not a lot of help if everytime someone asks a question the reply is get an electrician in, understandable for someone messing around in a CU but its accepted that a householder can...

    Wiring a ceiling rose

The switch will be blown thats all. The terminations at the fitting appear to be now correct. With the power off (all the power) replace the switch with a new one, check the cables for damage. If there is no damage replace fitting and re-energise. This sort of replacement is well within the...

Splitting 10 mm T&E feed in a space that won't be accessible - is there a way?

Could be reading this wrong but....why dont you make the junction underneath the cabinet kickboards. You could access the joint by removing the board.

Pat testing. How many are you expected to do?

I was thinking the same. I take a morning to do about 20 items. Not sure my pat tester would work that fast if I had all the items in front of me!
