Could you retrofit a halogen transformer in ceiling void above or a small dc transformer in the rose?

    Alternative to spurs for appliances

Would it be ok to put 1 spur feeding 2 appliances next to each other? I know its not ideal but would isolate if needed

    Alternative to spurs for appliances

Got a few spurs in a kitchen for appliances but customer doesn't like the look of a fused spur. Is there any other way like 20a dp switched or 45a 1g cooker switch or are these more hassle?

    Alternative to fast fix boxes

Thanks I've decided to go for the silicone option but instead of sequins I've opted for glitter it seemed a more professional job

    Alternative to fast fix boxes

Is there an alternative to fast fix boxes? I've just fit a screw less flat plate socket to one and can see the fast fix box! metal ko box on a noggin isn't an option as it's an existing drywall!

    Electric heaters - efficient??

Hi, I've been asked for advice on what would be an efficient electric heater for a conservatory. I know electric isn't the best way to heat a room but do such products exist that are more efficient, not particularly less watts but just more efficient. obviously storage heaters on economy7 but...

Using 3x 2way instead of intermediate switch

I'm on about the decorative range of toggle switches. Ive drew it out and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to have 3 independently controllable 2way switches for one light!

Using 3x 2way instead of intermediate switch

Thanks for that it's not worth going down the custom route it was just a chance! Regular rockers it will have to be!

Using 3x 2way instead of intermediate switch

I could do with keeping the range of switches the same.. Screwless flat plate toggle switch but can't find a 2gang intermediate toggle. An ebay seller (291055653971) has a diagram configured with 2way only but I cant see how! Alternatively if anyone knows a range that has a 2g intermediate in...

    SMD LED lamps

The 10w led flood lights acutlly have 9x1w smd's! Not sure about the higher watt LEDs though! Brightness of the led will depend on how it's driven as much as the size/charactists of the led. 5050 chips comprise of 3 smd's and are about o.8w each, usually installed in numbers to get a result...

Lights to come on when alarm is activated (veritas r8)

I'm pretty sure there's no volt free on the veritas r8, there is defiantly a 12v sw connection which is for latching devices, not 100% if it's even going to work!

Lights to come on when alarm is activated (veritas r8)

It's only going to be switching one light I'm told! but could have multiple lamps so could still be a few hundred watts! Which is like a couple off amp! Can't see the coil blowing the fuse in the panel, but I like the relay method as I'm fitting a speach dialler too which might use the same 12v...
