Well if the EICR has identified that you have a wooden fusebox with double pole rewireable fuses it’ll need replacing.

I know they took out the ceramic holder and they were just hanging there. This is what lurked beneath. I would say a good case for replacement. Love the red cable going to the earth terminal!

there is a good video thats just popped up on my youtube feed, from that bloke john ward. it covers EICR's and will give you lots of ideas, havent watched it all (its an hour long) but given a lot of his videos are quite informative might be worth a watch and help you understand various points

Excessive custard ingress, traces of Bovril or an infestation of termites could all be reasons.

? is this a serious question? if so please come back and explain why you asked this and maybe we can try to assist you, that said, I am concerned you are in one of two camps. 1, you want to justify replacing a DB, or 2, you have been told yours needs replacing and you are not sure.

I tend to agree with the above posts, however I think I remember that you are early on in your career, so may be attempting to learn, the assessment for a CU change is more than an EICR result and to not realise this indicates a lack of awareness.
However I did go through the EICR observations for distribution boards and came up with the following, if the observation was coded for danger would the consumer unit need changing?
