He shouldn't have done that. Not 100% sure but I don't think you could get GET rcbos. I think that's the first time I've written get get.
Honestly am done with it all. Top it all off now the sockets are working, because we had no power for over 48 hours it's now blown the CPU board in the boiler so still no hot water...

Ok… gotcha.

Can we have a wider photograph showing all the equipment in one image?

Why would the power going back on blow the boiler board?

Again, it’s your landlords responsibility to ensure you have heating, hot water as well as a safe electrical installation.

Edit. Blanks missing in CU. That’s a C1 on an EICR:- immediately dangerous.

Apparently a power surge to the boiler after been off for awhile can blow the fan gas valve or CPU board. Also your edit I don't really get lol can u explain in am a thick roofer terms lol

He was talking about the gaps in your consumer unit. they should be filled with blanks.
As it stands you can possibly touch the live busbar. This is a C1 on an EICR.
He shouldn't have energised your consumer unit without blanking them off.

They have always been like that, they was like that when we had this EICR that passed apparently that no one seems to have paper work for.

That's inside the box shows wires to the second socket RCD but if you turn that off ever socket in the house still works.

My wife he was here no longer than 40 mins. Are they meant to check sockets etc in this test?
An EICR is an 'electrical installation condition report'. It is supposed to be a check on the condition of ALL electrical circuits and accessories.
It would normally take at least a couple of hours to fully test and inspect a house, and quite often longer depending on number of circuits and so on.

I assume you mean plug sockets, he checked one in each room not all, check fuse box and went on his merry way.
