Hello, I am trying to replace some lights in my walk in closet, I began with light 2 and before realizing how confusing this could get, I forgot to take a photo or label the 4 black wires. All other wiring is just as the electrician did it. My question is, how do I figure out how to wire my new light for light 2?

Here is are some things I know:
  • Light 2 has all black wires (which leads to confusion)
  • All 4 black wires in light 2 are hot (no neutral from what I can tell)
  • All lights have brown romex, all switch boxes have white romex (not sure how this is possible)
  • Light 1 turns on as is, light 3 does not, light 2 all 4 wires are capped individually currently
  • I checked to see if I could complete a circuit with my multi-meter on black wires from light 1 to 2 and found there was no link

In the diagram, no ground is shown to make it less messy.

Thank you so much for the help, sorry about the weak diagram!

There must be another box somewhere where all the romex join up. The browns and the whites.

Once you find that, you can work out where the 4 blacks at light 2 end up
