Alright everyone,
Got a question and looking for some of your opinions. My brother is a qualified electrician and I'll be asking him the same when I see him!

My background: mid 30s, Electrical technician, HNC electrical engineering, NVQ level 3 Engineering maintenance, 18th edition. I worked on installing UPS systems for 10 years with a huge amount of experience on large DC installations. Worked on many construction sites across different industries. I have gold practical experience with cutting cables, fault finding, working safely etc etc. AC connections always done by electricians employed by our contractors, but tbh I could have done it myself if I had the papers

I'm doing some research on intensive courses, I would love to work as a domestic electrician. Has anyone any experience doing these?

I am under no illusion that these courses make you a good electrician but are they enough to get you started and would employers consider someone with my background if I completed one of these courses? They aren't cheap but an adult apprenticeship would cost more in the long run due to the drop in wages. Helping my brother out for experience would be a possibility but he's not in a position to employ anyone.

Thanks
