Hi people, I’m new to the forum, first post so here goes.
I’m wiring a heating control system and at the moment the customer wants as follows;
A JG underfloor heating system, this will be controlled by wireless thermostats, there is a 2 port valve and a wiring centre for the underfloor heating.
They have also bought a halo ideal wireless stat, the receiver plugs direct into the boiler. This also has a 2 port valve and controls the radiators within the house. So 2 port valves… 1. controlling underfloor heating 2. Controlling a radiator zone.
My questions are…. Can you have 2 separate receivers ? I believe you can but could be wrong.
How do you tap into the boiler directly to activate the 2 port valve for the radiator zones? As the receiver is plugged straight into the boiler can this be done, or is altering the internal wiring a no go with the manufacturer?
I am trying to convince them to have it all controlled via the JG wiring centre but they are insistent on having the halo stat also. Can anyone advise? Kind regards
