Hi wondering if you could help with some advice
Been running an Essex/suffolk based electrical firm for last 20 years, mainly light commercial, new build sites.
due to a lot of sites needed renewables I recently did my solar courses but not MCS registered to date.
One of my other customer owns a large office block and has approached me regarding a solar install.
he has two large roofs which he would like to clad in solar with battery storage, big kicker is the fact it is an asbestos roof.
I know in an ideal world he would renew the roof then install but he's not keen considering if its fair good condition.
has any body got any views or previous experience when installing or anybody Essex/suffolk based who would consider a JV on this project,
thanks in advance,

I would expect it to be virtually impossible to complete the project safely.
how would you fix the panels to a roof that you can’t disturb?
when you consider that the solar panels should outlive the service life of the roof by a factor of 5 to 10 I can’t imagine any way in which to make it economically viable to leave the roof in place.

also remember any servicing or repairs will need more specialist access and training.
