Hi all
my first post so hopefully I'm in the right place. I want to renew the built-in pir sensors in my outdoor lights but I am having difficulty locating a supplier. The sensors are marked up as model GYQ-06. I have tried to google them but it just comes up with some Asian companies. Anyone know where I could purchase these in the UK? It just seems a waste to renew the whole light.
thanks.

I would agree with ninja that the easiest method is to replace the entire fitting as it will be cheaper and quicker, however if you do want to replace the PIR sensor then you can look for electronic component companies such as Maplin, farnell or rapid and look for PIR sensors, you best bet would be to purchase a complete module so that it is compatible and this would cost about £20, individual sensors would be a couple of pounds but would need soldering in correctly and would need to be compatible with the rest of the system, (assuming it is actually the sensor that is gone and not ancillary components)

thanks Richard, I've tested the sensor (swapping with one that works) and it is defo the sensor. But will take up your advice and see if I can source a compatible one from the suppliers you mentioned. Failing that I will renew the lights.
