I need to replace an old FC005 5amp fuse holding switch with snapped switch due to old plastic.
Having trouble finding one and hope someone out there has a box of them somewhere I may be able to buy.
If you could advise on what could replace it if not that would be great.

To be fair to the OP they did say: "I can isolate this whole board at an old master switch in the garage. you don’t want to see that lot" But it just looks wrong!

While we are not taking bets, the current debate is if the device on the left is an RCBO or a RCD. The former is what I assumes as it looks a bit too neat for the sort of person who would not know any better, but other here point to the apparent lack of information on the face of it to back that up. Until we get a close-up photo or similar we are a little worried!

I am being very careful, I am isolating everything whenever I’m near it.
thankyou for all the info and inferred concern. I’ll drop another pic of final result and report back. Thanks again.

Yes, it has the thermal trip symbol on the live pole but very small so hardly noticeable. I wonder if it is thermal-only? Or maybe the 'L' part indicates the magnetic trip characteristic?

Either way, it looks acceptable all things considered.

Sorry for delay.
this is the result.
I tried a mcb but physically didn’t fit. Would have been ok on the rail but box mounting bracket was in the way of locating clip.
This triple works a treat, just had to move mystery
mcb/rcd over a bit.
Thanks again for all your professional advice.
I’m sure I’ll be back

That’s a yes.
I may be using the wrong terminology. The mcb slid into position ok but it was upside down. There is a bracket to the wall behind that just happened to be in the way of the spring clip so I couldn't locate it securely. The other one clipped in either side of bracket so secure and working. I am not using the left hand switch.

It is a shame that the MCB did not fit, but at least you have a working fuse holder once more. Longer term replacing the whole CU would make sense but that is not a very cheap move even though it would bring advantages in terms of reliability and safety.
