Hi chaps
Ive just recently started out on site again and been given the task of installing lots of cable tray sets ( made by hand ) that go into mains cupboards etc.
All this is to be done on a price per meter so i have been tasked with finishing off what the last guy didnt do which is all the tricky time consuming bits where you earn bugger all.
Whoever installed the tray has just done all the straight runs on 10 floors creaming it in and buggered off and left all the sets reductions step overs etc out. Each floor has 5 cupboards which include fire alarm data and mains all using different tray on entry to the cupboard.
Each cupboard is taking me a day to complete so looks as if im going to be doing this a while and basically earning nothing with a family to support and once my fuel costs are taken out im earning next to nothing.
I really want the site experience as i qualified in mainly a maintenance background doing lots of testing fault finding and installations within schools.
I just wondered if anybody has had similar experiences, i really dont want to rock the boat at this new job but also need to be earning some money and not have the **** taken.
Thanks
