Hi all
This has been a really interesting thread...
I'm looking at installing a single monitor device just after the inverter; this will be set to trigger when the panels are producing > 1.2kw. My 3kw immersion tank will have a 110v site transformer before it - to drop the power down to circa 800w. So it will switch on and slow cook the water while the sun shines.
This avoids all the multiple monitors...

My background usage is about 400k (pc, fridges, tv etc), hence the reason I've set the trigger at 1.2kw. I'm expecting this to be a bit rubbish during the winter, but should give me a good few tanks of hot water in the summer.

Does anyone have any comments/suggestions on my proposed plan.

Thanks and a Happy New Year to you all
