All right, I'll give you that one 1st of January 2005 it is.
My copy is obviousl the updated one, not the original.
It does make you wonder though, what Part P has done in tems of improving safety, if the number of deaths are so high.
 
To be honest, something sounds very wrong with those stats to me.

I don't know anyone who's been seriously injured through electricity. I know very few people who even know what an electric shock is like. 350,000 a year? Seriously seems a huge exageration to me.

Likewise, 30% of people knowing what an RCD is... Far more than I'd expect.

1 million people repairing appliances whilst plugged in? How many people actually repair things these days anyway?!

Who did they survey? A random selection of people at an electrical trade convention?
 
If the stats are true, I wonder how many of those people who get killed are trying to steal cables from railways or substations...
