Hello, my name is Bruce. I'm a store owner trying to understand the wiring involved to install my split system. I have some electrical experience nothing professional. I observed and learned as much as possible when my building was built.

Panel: 3 phase with wild leg
Outdoor unit pa10ja036-a 208-230
Indoor unit MSZ-D36NA-8 208/230

Questions:
Can I wire the indoor unit independently from the outdoor unit?
If I don't intend on ever using the electric heat can I just run a 120v and ground to the indoor unit or would it absolutely need 208/230?
What I would like to do:
Use l1 and l2 (wild leg)to power the outdoor unit and wire the indoor unit with a 120 that I have near by.
If I have to run 208/230 to the indoor unit, can I just tap into the power from the outdoor unit? If I need to run 208/230v power to the indoor unit can it also be the l1, l2 combo or is it really wanting l1,l3 in that case I couldn't share the load with that wild leg..

Thank you for reading

My first question is how did you get a Delta single phase transformer. If you use the high leg for double pole breakers but never use the high leg as 120 vac devices which can be as high as 180vac, if you use the high leg on double pole breakers you will have 240vac or 208vac. The indoor unit needs to be on its own circuit. I couldn’t read the spec sheet on power, just make sure you are not using the high leg for 120vac applications
