new fuse board with 5 circuits plus bonding, wiring a radial and lighting in the garage all surface, changing 4 light fittings, turning 10 single sockets into doubles, adding 3 extra sockets on the ring. wondering whats a fair price for this work?

at £45, do 10 a day, be a good earner. LOL.

What Biff said.

It's nearly impossible to price a job accurately without seeing it first.
In the same way you wouldn't be able to give a price for a job like that over the phone, nobody here can help you with a comparative price.

i'd make a serious estimate of £500 - £750, allowing for 2 days work.

new fuse board with 5 circuits
Fuse or MCB / RCBO, 5 existing or including the new circuits, easy access, D.N.O isolator?

plus bonding
what size and distance and method of fixing, surface under floor in ceiling ,?

wiring a radial and lighting in the garage all surface
how far from C.U how big is garage, how long are the cable runs, timber, brick concrete sectional ?

changing 4 light fittings,
LED, pendant, decorative, external spots / floods ?

turning 10 single sockets into doubles,
surface boxes, flush, brick block plaster, or board or eggbox or straw walls, cheap sockets, screwless, designer?

adding 3 extra sockets on the ring,
how far from existing sockets, what sockets, cheap, screwless?

wondering whats a fair price for this work?

Are you VAT reg?

Somewhere from £350 to £1800,, possibly??? + Vat, possibly

It all depends on how much time is needed to add the 3 sockets to the ring, wire the garage, and install the earth wires to gas and water. The board cost and replacement 10 single to double sockets are fairly easy to price, changing 4 lights also fairly straight forward, you need to see the job to estimate whats involved with the labour for the wiring aspect.

It certainely sounds like 2-3 days work, and thats the thing here with this Job, whether it is 2 or 3 days????????????????

Work out material costs add 15% then charge for your time, don't forget it all needs to be signed off to comply so if your not niceic or any other governing body allow an extra couple of hundred pound for building control :)
