Hi this is the first time I've posted :)

Probably a daft question but I have aver been asked to wire up an industrial wood chipper which is rated at 125kva from a 150kva generator. I will cable from the control panel to the motor in 25mm 4core but what should be used for between the generator and the panel.

thanks this is the first time using a generator as a supply and unfamiliar with it

Are you responsible for the design and specification of the controls and the generator or have you just been asked to wire the system up? Are you wondering about the cable size or the cable type?

It has all been moved from another site and the cable from the generator to the panel is missing which needs replaced. The rest is wired or just needing rewired to extend cables,

What kind of cable would that be? What is its current rating when installed using your proposed method?
