Hi,
Am just wondering if someone can help me on this "The disc of an energy meter makes 600 revolutions per unit of energy. When a 1000W load is connected, the disc rotates at 10.2 revs per minute. If th load is on for 12 hours, hw many units are recorded as error?" I calculated the % error of the meter to be +1.796%. The answer proooided to the question above is "0.24kWh more".

Can anyone tell me how did they come out to the 0.24kWh?

10.2 X 60 X 12 = 7344

7344/600 = 12.24

Actual reading should be 12 so error is 0.24kWh

Giving a meter error percentage of +1.965% which is within current published acceptable tolerances of +2.5% and -3.5%.

Many thanks for that IQ Electrical, very much appreciate it....
