Please help...at the end of my tether with transformer/Ring

I asked for that in post #2. All I got was a 'like' from my mate @DPG ...
I'll go and cry in the corner now...

thanks mate, will give that a go. Just stumped given it's twin and earth to transformer and into plug socket. cheers

ye i agree - seems unusual - was it a circuit breaker or the rcd that tripped?

Here you go. Wiring, transformer and the trip. Don’t ask me what trip went as the previous owners didn’t exactly label correctly. Suffice to say lights and appliances went! Strangely when plugged into the kitchen socket it works but others it doesn’t.

try unwiring the bell and just having the transformer wired in and try plugging it in again

Just did. Same result. I really don’t get it. Twin and earth, new plug, doorbell isn’t drawing tons and the new trans that ring supplied

put a photo on of the internals of the plug. you shouldve used flex cable really.

Here you go. Yes I’ve just found out solid core isn’t that nice to work with for this. You’re probably going to tell me I’ve connected the plug wrong! Lol
