PVC Conduit Question

I’m looking to buy some PVC Conduit for some security lights rather than clip the cable. We don’t use it in work. But I know I need 20mm conduit but would I be okay using 20mm inspection elbows? I assume they just fit inside?

Getting back to being a little more serious ...
Glue one end, both ends ?
ISTM that unless the fittings are free to move, then gluing the joints will prevent movement due to thermal expansion.
And on a vertical (outdoor) section, glue the bottom fitting (to seal against water ingress) but leave the top joint free.

IMO glue both ends, but ensure the fixing brackets allow movement, plan your layout so there isn't any right angle bends close together.

Expansion Couplers For Round PVC Conduit - Discount Electrical - http://www.discount-electrical.co.uk/section.php/107164/1/expansion-couplers-for-round-pvc-conduit bit of a faff using those, yet another product to carry around, I suppose you could use Vaseline, but it would melt in any kind of heat, just talked myself out of that, high melting point grease on the bottom joint and solvent weld the top joint, but only in the vertical, can't see them being waterproof horizontally, but do we need them waterproof or just water tight, the migration of water into a junction box is possibly the concern.

I know it should do this doesn’t it’s the same diameter. So it doesn’t push inside. Not sure if it’s the conduit or the fixings I’ve bought. The fixing are a brand make and the conduit was given to me.

I will get a photo to show you what I mean. I assumed that the fixings should fit inside, so I was a bit confused when they didn’t and thought do I need 25mm tubing.

Be careful with the PVC Solvent it's highly inflammable.

But when left to dry on the hands and it starts to peel it gives a very convincing skin burn and make a three year old run off screaming when you peel it off.
