Hi lads, could anyone tell me the correct term for this type of bolt please?
I'm fairly sure it starts with the letter "B".
Farmer
That's a coach screw surely ?Carriage bolt as a coach bolt is more like a wood screw which carves it's own thread.
Mmm, seems like the OP has started something. That's a coach screw surely ?
Usually roofing bolts don't have a square shank, but rather have slots on the dome head so a tool can be used to stop them turning rather than relying on the square shank pulling into the timber. This said I have heard, the terms coach, carriage, roofing, dome head... for all sorts of similar bolts and screws.I thought they were called M6 roofing bolts.
So are the bolts Bosch?here you go. square heads. :
