I have a Xpelair DX100T fan for the bathroom to replace my "faulty" previous fan (make unknown)

I have the following wiring coming from the ceiling

Grey
Black
Brown

and Earth

Can anyone tell me what goes where in the XPelair junction box.

Many thanks in advance of any replies.dx100t.jpg

Welcome to the forum.

Go back in time and make a note of the connections to the old fan!
If this is not possible you'll have to test the supply to determine which core is which. If you're in doubt, get a local electrician to call in and do the job. If you say where you are, someone on here may be local to you.

We don't know any more than you how the original fan was wired. But we do knw how to test it!
I’m sorry, I’ve no sympathy for people that disconnect things and don’t take notes.

Yes, not just armatures. (sorry amateurs)

May be if the cable was sleeved correctly to comply with the regs we could guess but we don't do that

May be it's time to get it installed so it complies with the regs
