Hello all just after some advice for joining a scheme provider in order to self certify work however I don’t hold a test and inspect qualification yet but will be booking as soon as I can. does anyone have experience of joining one without this?

I’m not sure about that test centre but normally you can do a 3 day course with the exam at the end if you don’t mind spending the extra money. You get the book in the exam so as long as you know the relevant parts you’ll breeze it.
What tools do you guys use that you don’t need as a necessity but once you get they make your life that much easier? For example knipex installation pliers/ ck armour slice/ ck cable tongue
Currently re-wiring a 14th century, grade 2 listed cottage; the ceilings are being constructed out of wood wool board- lime plaster finnish-
any advice on downlights being unsuitable for the installation? I haven't come across this before
