    Wiring to Cabin from House?

Hi...to be honest your plan for a new circuit sounds like a bit of an overkill. All you need to do is fit a 13a FCU (spur) at the socket in the house and then run out 2.5mm SWA to the cabin for your sockets. You can then fit another 3a FCU for your lights. You will have enough power for what you...

Switching bathroom extractor fan with microwave detector.

Possibly....I was actually going to experiment with a metal plate (with a hole in it) below the sensor so that it will only operate when you are directly below it. My only real issue is finding a suitable sensor....I don't know if a 1200w one for lighting will work.

Switching bathroom extractor fan with microwave detector.

Thanks....that's more the sort of thing, but needs to be microwave so I can put it above a plaster board ceiling and it won't be seen

Thanks, but it is for an existing inline fan.

Switching bathroom extractor fan with microwave detector.

Hi - thanks...don't like humidistats, they never seem to work properly and are ugly too!

Switching bathroom extractor fan with microwave detector.

Hi all.... Quick question for you, what are your thoughts on the above? I am looking for an alternate way to operate a bathroom extractor fan (don't want it on with the lights and don't want extra pull cords etc) - I propose to fit an inline fan in the loft, switched with a microwave sensor...

    VOL O-L on Megger 1720

Actually - no it can't be as the Voltage overload fault cleared then the whole board was isolated and just showed open on those 2 legs.

    VOL O-L on Megger 1720

    VOL O-L on Megger 1720

Hi all - when testing ring final continuity in a small shop the other day my Megger 1720 wouldn't carry out the test and displayed "VOL O-L" on the L and N legs (CPC was OK). I believe this message is due voltage present on the cables....MCB was off. When switching the board off at the main...

Continuity between live and neutral at cut out

Hi - newbie here so firstly apologies if this is not in the correct place or if its a stupid question.... Following safe isolation procedure on a C/U today - on an old re-wireable board, with all fuses removed....checking that no voltage was present using a Fluke T90 I was getting a continuity...
