when making off glands , would you ....
A. Use adjustable spammers or a talon wrench to NOT scratch the gland
or
B. use grips and not be too bothered about scratching if it slips ?

Theres quite a lot off space for tools yea, I have screwdrivers, 5 different pairs off snips and pliers, spanners, claw hammer, tape, head torch, level, pad saw, knifes and stuff, drill bits and hole cutters, ratchet you name it! :) but bigger tools like bolster chissels and hammers are harder...
