    I appreciate the time you have spent and am glad, in the grand scale of things, it was nothing serious - although glad I caught it. I will replace the extension with the higher grade cable.

    The curcuit is on a ring, as each socket in bedroom and lounge is connected to each other. All sockets have two wires, so has to be a ring, as if it was radial, the final socket would terminate.
