Height Of Electrical Socket And Switch Outlets
What is the correct height for both sockets and switches in Scotland? I have always been fitting them at 300mm and 1370mm however a building control Officr has intimated they should be at 450mm for socets and between 800mm and 1200mm for switches. Is this the case? -

Height of light switch
Hi Guys, Just a quick question regarding the height of a normal light switch. What is the regulation regarding the min and max height of the switch. I have noticed in new build's they seem to be quite low. Is this for disabled people?, What is the min and max height Thanks in advance- DanBrown

Building Reg M - Socket n switch height??
In the building regs (onsite) it says that the sockets and switches must be inbetween 450mm off the floor and 1200mm off the floor area. is this correct? it also says the guidance given in App doc M applies to all new dwellings, note if this is a rewire there is no requirement for the new...- LukeScotty
