Hi everyone,
I'm a 32 year old female who has returned to college to undertake training to be an electrician. I am 5 months into my level 2 diploma. I have not been able to get an apprenticeship as they are few and far between and once you are 23 the government doesn't offer any assistance.

Does anyone know what the process is, once the Practical has been taken.
For instance when do you know (in writing) whether you have passed or not. And who would notify you, i.e. is it City & Guilds or is it the Centre that you take the Practical exam with?
When are you likely to be notified...
1. Once you have taken the 2394 practical test, when should you receive the "Notification of candidate results"?
2. For instance, with the 2394/2395 Multiple choice, you can receive the result straight away (from the centre), & the "Notification of candidate result" is then sent to you. Is this...

Hey folks, just a quick question, I'm wondering has anyone done the Trade Test with Dron & Dickson before?
I've been asked to go take the test, and I've got to admit, it's been a few years since I had my head in the books. I did well in my tests as an apprentice, but that was about 10 years ago...
Hi,
I currently work in an office based role in the IT industry (4 years experience) and would like to make a career change.
I have previously trained as an electrician around 5 years ago and enjoyed the practical side of the work but due to the job market being a bit dry, IT was the path I...

Hi Chaps,
I've been working as a mate/labourer with my dad (spark) since I was 15. I'm now 21 and need to get my qualifications. College was out of the question this year, due to up front financial requirements, so I looked around a bit and stumbled across ATL Practical Training.

Guys, I have to improve the situation where original socket outlets were flush installed into the fawn coloured finished brickwork. The job is 20 years old, and was done by non-electricians. They have simply left part of the brick out when building walls where a socket was to be installed...

Hi All,
anyone know how much time your allowed for the practical exam for the 2395. I was failed today for running out of time. We were given 90 mins for full EICR test and paperwork. Just seemed a bit unforgiving. Maybe just need to quicken up.
thanks.
Alright lads, anyone done the new testing course? Is it harder to pass then 2391? Got a feeling my reg books are going to have to be my new best friend for a while

Hi Guys,
I am looking for some "practical" advice for a Fire alarm installation.

Hello all,
I'm going to be taking the 302 in a couple of months and wondered if anyone could suggest some decent revision material or if there was anyway I could get hold of some past test papers for this exam as well as the 301 and 303. Any info or pointers on the two practical exams would...
